Local-SoMe 2025
In a world where a social-media presence has stopped being a choice and become an obligation, simply "being there" is no longer enough. Communication that is polished but unreadable fails. Communication that is frequent but chaotic builds no relationships. And communication that is present but invisible does not work.
This year's edition of Local-SoMe answers a single question: how do we speak so that it carries meaning and gets results?
That question changed everything — including the programme of the congress itself. Instead of the classic split by topic, we propose a new logic of participation: tracks that follow the real communication cycle, from the moment an idea is born to the analysis of its impact.
At the centre sits the idea for the city — because good communication does not begin with a post, but with understanding why and for whom we are speaking. Only then comes the time to choose the language, tone and form: content that does not merely inform, but also engages and moves people.
How and where we publish is no longer left to chance — publishing is now a competence in its own right, one that demands strategy and a knowledge of how digital communities behave. But even the best message is not enough if we do not learn to hold a dialogue — interaction is today the key to trust.
The process culminates in analysis and reflection — not only on the results, but also on the emotions we stirred. What is more, in 2025 we are adding a new, sixth area: law and security. It responds to the real threats of today's world — from cyberattacks to the need to build civil resilience in a time of geopolitical instability.
Local-SoMe'25 is a space for those who do not want merely to inform. It is an event for those who want to talk, to build and to strengthen communities. For those who understand that communication begins with meaning — and never ends at "publish".
