And His Name Shall Be Forty and Four

It's turned cold, they haven't switched the heating on, and it's been raining all day. Autumn melancholy is starting to creep in. Luckily, some time ago I devised a plan for surviving this autumn gloom. The answer is Liqueur 44!

Liqueur 44

The recipe is simple. Into a one-litre jar we put an orange, 44 coffee beans, 44 teaspoons of sugar, a stick of vanilla and one of cinnamon. We pour vodka over it all and set it aside for 44 days. You can add honey and other little extras.

The tasting of the drink will take place any day now. You're all invited!
