Autumn in Łódź
Autumn in Łódź takes on many colours. From the city's greys to the beautiful rainbow of hues that visits its parks. As usual, I started my walk at Lublinek, by a little lake. The weather was overcast. Rain hung in the air.
At the other end of Łódź there is also a small lake, like the ones in most of my city's parks. Ducks swim everywhere, unafraid of people and happy to paddle over the moment some daredevil stands on the bank of the golden pond.
Winter is coming. Mammals are hunting for food. Some gather nuts, others go shopping. Time to get ready for the long, frosty days. The little redheads scamper through the trees to hide their loot, while the suits, being suits, read the papers and worry about nothing.
Autumn — the season of colours like red, brown and yellow…
…but in Łódź, everything is green as always!
The trip ends where most people begin their adventure with Łódź — at Manufaktura. The sun was sinking towards the horizon and it was time to head home.

One day, sitting quietly at my computer, I met Kaja. A strange chain of events led me to decide to visit her in Seville, Spain. I planned my trip so as to see London along the way — the city that has become a paradise of riches for Poles.
The Old Market Square in Łódź
As tends to happen at the end of the year, a little grumbling is in order. That Łódź is a different city from all the rest, I probably no longer need to prove to anyone. Sitting in front of my computer, I realised yet another fact that sets this place apart. We have no Old Market Square!
