The Best Lemon Liqueur in the World
There are quite a few recipes for lemon liqueur, and I've tried them more than once — both drinking and making it myself. One of the best I've ever tasted I present below. In my opinion, this is the best recipe for lemon liqueur. And it's not all that complicated.
To create this outstanding drink we'll need about 20 lemons. They're those little yellow fruits. They smell nice. On top of that, sugar in an amount equal to about 3/4 of the weight of the lemons. The most important ingredient will be 1 litre of pure spirit and about 1.5 litres of water.
First we peel the lemon fairly thinly. We try to make sure there's no white pith there, because it's bitter and spoils the taste of the liqueur. We remove as much as we can.

We cut the lemon peel into small strips and toss them into a jar. We pour spirit over them and set them aside in a dark place for a few days. We also cut up the rest of the lemons and cover them with sugar. We set these aside too for about 4–5 days, stirring the jar daily. A very nice syrup forms inside.

At the very end we combine the contents of the jars: the spirit that has soaked up the lemon peel, and the sugar syrup, and dilute it with water to get the right strength of drink.

The lemon liqueur is ready. Cheers!

The Old Market Square in Łódź
As tends to happen at the end of the year, a little grumbling is in order. That Łódź is a different city from all the rest, I probably no longer need to prove to anyone. Sitting in front of my computer, I realised yet another fact that sets this place apart. We have no Old Market Square!
