Campo de Fiori
The market square called the field of flowers is one of Rome's attractions. Campo de' Fiori lies on the border of Rome's Parione and Regola districts and is located near the Piazza Navona. Even Czesław Miłosz wrote about that very square.
A market square like so many in our country. There you'll find plenty of stalls, mainly with fresh vegetables and spices. It's worth heading there to buy really delicious watermelons and peaches. The spice stalls tempt tourists with their scent. There you can buy really good spices and herbs.
The fountain standing in the central spot of the square serves the vendors as a source of water for the flowers and vegetables. On top of the fountain a monument was placed dedicated to the execution of Giordano Bruno. In the afternoon the stalls disappear and the whole square is revealed to us, and around it various kinds of cafés and restaurants with brilliant lasagne!
