Combined Heat and Power Plant No. 2 (EC-2)
In 1955, construction began on the EC-2 combined heat and power plant at 26 Wróblewskiego Street. For many years it provided heating and hot water for the residents of Karolew and Retkinia. In just two years' time, in 2015, it will be shut down. All the boilers will be switched off and hot water will flow to the residents from other plants.
From 2015, heat for Retkinia will be supplied by EC-3, located on Pojezierska Street, while Karolew will be served by EC-4 on Andrzejewska Street.
The EC-2 plant will soon pass into history.
