Croatia 2016
After my first solo cruise in Croatia, the time came for another. This time my crew was more focused on touring the cities, old towns and architecture of Croatia than on sailing. Our home and transport was the yacht Bavaria 44 BT '02 - Cougar.
We began the cruise in the port of the town of Pirovac. Cloudy weather and storms greeted us there, lasting all night. Luckily, the weather forecast predicted clear spells and good weather.

The first sailing out to sea took place around 12:00, when it cleared up and the weather turned nice. The crew couldn't wait for the first cruise and was ready to sail in the rain.

The first port we visited was Skradin. From there we set off to the Krka waterfalls. In the little town you can buy very good homemade wine for little money. For some it's more interesting than the waterfalls.
The next port we visited was the Frapa marina in Rogoznica. It's one of the more upscale ports, where you'll find massagers in the bathrooms, an underwater restaurant with a view of the fish, and other entertainment like billiards. From the port, Rogoznica looks beautiful at night.
Then we sailed to Split. We spent the most time there, as this city is worth a long visit. The old tenement houses, cathedrals and the old town itself are impressive. During the day you can climb the bell tower and see the port and the city from above.
Over the course of the whole week we also visited Trogir and Šibenik. On the way back to Poland we stopped for a moment in Budapest.

The Old Market Square in Łódź
As tends to happen at the end of the year, a little grumbling is in order. That Łódź is a different city from all the rest, I probably no longer need to prove to anyone. Sitting in front of my computer, I realised yet another fact that sets this place apart. We have no Old Market Square!
Foggy Wanderings Around Łódź
Some time ago I went on night-time wanderings around Łódź. The city seemed to me empty, sad and gloomy then. On a certain foggy evening I wanted to set out again and capture the beauty that Łódź hides somewhere within itself.
