The Island of Milos and Its Venus

After the engine failure, we sailed from the island of Serifos to Milos. On the island, in 1820, a statue of Aphrodite was found, now known as the Venus de Milo. The main port is Adamas, which is where we headed.

In the middle of the island lies the picturesque bay of Ormos Milou. It was formed as a result of a volcanic eruption. The port of Adamas is located in this very bay.

One of the bigger attractions of the island is the village of Tripiti with its sandy beach. There you'll also find catacombs and an amphitheatre from the Hellenistic period.

The island is picturesque and it's worth taking a walk around the bay. There you'll find many interesting places to see.
