Off to the Mountains!
Everyone who wants to feel the highlander culture, the regional cuisine, the hospitable and warm atmosphere, and above all to see the mountains, comes to Zakopane. The town has its own unique character, which we associate with Krupówki Street. For me, though, it's associated with the view of the mountains, of Giewont.
One of the places you have to visit is Gubałówka, once called Antgua. You can reach the summit, 1,126 metres high, by cable car, or by minibus from the bus station in Zakopane. I recommend the latter option, since along the way you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Tatras and drive through the highest-lying village in Poland — Ząb.
Another such place worth seeing is Kasprowy Wierch, and the queues of people waiting to ride up to the very summit in a cable car suspended on ropes. Those who don't like walking in the mountains should arm themselves with patience. It's worth waiting to ride up to the very top.
From this spot you can set off further into the mountains, towards Świnica, for example. The views are unforgettable. The clouds are practically within arm's reach.
Coming back from the mountains, we can enjoy the view of the dark sky and look out for a little star in the sky ;-)

The Old Market Square in Łódź
As tends to happen at the end of the year, a little grumbling is in order. That Łódź is a different city from all the rest, I probably no longer need to prove to anyone. Sitting in front of my computer, I realised yet another fact that sets this place apart. We have no Old Market Square!
Foggy Wanderings Around Łódź
Some time ago I went on night-time wanderings around Łódź. The city seemed to me empty, sad and gloomy then. On a certain foggy evening I wanted to set out again and capture the beauty that Łódź hides somewhere within itself.
