Toruń Is Not Just Gingerbread
Forever in love with Wrocław, and with Spiż, I decided to take a trip to Toruń. A short train ride and I was already there. A cosy little hotel near the market square and the donkey statue.
And since it was already evening, I set out to see that famous panorama. To reach it, you have to cross a long bridge that glows blue at night. The walk to the viewpoint is exceptionally long.
But it's worth the stroll. The view of the illuminated city above the river takes your breath away. At the viewpoint a lot of people gather with cameras, beer and vodka. There are also plenty of cars, bouncing rhythmically up and down.
If you've never been to this spot, I warmly recommend it. There's plenty to photograph, especially at night. Near the bridge there are the ruins of a castle, and in the Old Town you'll find many monuments and beautiful buildings.
In a word — worth it. And Wrocław I'll be visiting soon. The supplies of Spiż have run dry in Łódź, and a hot summer is on the way.
