The next port the "Mana" called at was Skradin. It's a tiny town on the river Krka. The biggest attraction in the area is the waterfalls on the river, located in Krka National Park. The largest of the waterfalls is Skradinski Buk.

I couldn't believe it when, after the Baltic cruise, the option of sailing the Adriatic came up. Trying out sailing on a warm sea was a really tempting prospect. The yacht "Mana" (Bavaria 37), 11.1 metres long, awaited us in Zadar.
When you visit the Bełchatów mine, it's impossible not to notice the enormous machines working in the pit. Looking at the sheer scale of the mine itself, you can feel like a dwarf — and all the more so when you see excavators bigger than tower blocks and conveyor belts that reach all the way to the horizon.
On the grounds of the Kleszczów commune you'll find a huge hole in the ground — the Bełchatów Lignite Mine. Since 1980, the mine has been continuously extracting tonnes of brown coal, whose recipient is the Bełchatów Power Plant. The reserves of the entire Bełchatów deposit (2 billion tonnes), in line with the plan for their development, will be used up by around 2038.
On 4 September 1939, the 3rd Platoon of the 212th Bomber Squadron, based at the airfield in Kuciny near Aleksandrów Łódzki, was given the task of bombing German motorised columns in the area of Wieluń. The unit, under the command of the observer Lieutenant Kazimierz Żukowski, took off on its last mission. Not one of the crews returned from this assignment.

Christiansø has no equal… About 10 nautical miles from Bornholm lies the small Ertholmene archipelago. It is made up of 6 little islands: Christiansø, Frederiksø, Østerskær, Vesterskær, Græsholm and Tat. People live on the first two, and gulls on the rest.
After setting out from Gdańsk we set a course for Visby. It's a Hanseatic town in Sweden, on the Baltic Sea, on the western part of the island of Gotland. The winds, however, knew better, and we sailed to Allinge-Sandvig on Bornholm. It's nice there too!
"Is there any internet on this boat?" — that question nagged at me right up until we sailed out onto the waters of the Baltic Sea. As it turned out, a bigger worry than the lack of internet was the submarines that suddenly appeared. But more on that another time.
Pomegranate seeds are very tasty and juicy. They're ideal for making a liqueur. In antiquity, the pomegranate was regarded as a symbol of fertility, on account of its great number of seeds, and the pomegranate flower as a symbol of love. In Greece, to wish newlyweds happiness and fertility, a pomegranate is thrown to the ground and crushed.
My stocks of fine spirit are nearly used up. You could say it's the last of it, which needs to be put to good use. So why not give cardamom a try? It's such a nice, aromatic spice. Shall we steep it?
