The day came when I urgently needed a shadowless tent. A quick search on Allegro made it clear that it's better to make such a thing yourself than to wait for it to be delivered.

Toruń Is Not Just Gingerbread
Forever in love with Wrocław, and with Spiż, I decided to take a trip to Toruń. A short train ride and I was already there. A cosy little hotel near the market square and the donkey statue.
The Forgotten Railway Station
Long ago in Łódź, in 1902 to be precise, a certain railway station was built — Łódź Karolew. Today it is the disused railway junction Łódź Kaliska Towarowa. All that remains of the station is a decaying building. It stands at 33 Wróblewskiego Street, less than 200 metres north of the level crossing.

Norway in a Nutshell
One of the more interesting ways to see Norway is a trip called Norway in a Nutshell. For fairly little money (by Norwegian standards), you can tour the Sognefjord. It is the second longest fjord in the world and at the same time the longest fjord in Norway. It begins about 72 km north of Bergen and stretches 203 km inland, all the way to the village of Skjolden.
The Bergen Aquarium
When I used to go to Łódź Zoo, I always liked to step into the building with the aquariums. Visiting the zoological garden in Wrocław, I also spent a lot of time by the fish. In Bergen too I visited the aquarium. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen!
Ulriken
Ulriken (in Norwegian one of the syv fjell — the seven mountains) is one of the seven highest mountains in the area of Bergen. Its summit sits at an altitude of 643 metres above sea level. At the top you'll find a television tower, a restaurant and a telescope.
A Weekend in Bergen
On another cheap (65 złotys return) plane trip, I set off for Norway, to Bergen. A city that is called the gateway to the fjords, a city where it rains on most days of the year.

They say all roads lead to Rome. We in Łódź claim they converge in Nowosolna. The village's original name was Neu-Sulzfeld, because most of the colonists settled there came from the area of the Württemberg town of Sulzfeld.
Sweden – a Green Land
On another cheap (100 złotys return) plane trip, I set off for Sweden. My destination was Stockholm, and the journey, as usual, began on the train to Warsaw. Getting from the city centre to Okęcie airport in the morning hours is quite a feat. Luckily the taxi driver knew some magic detours and I quickly made it to the airport. In the new terminal it smelled of lemons!
Pripyat Isn't Scary Either!
Pripyat — an abandoned city in Kyiv Oblast, in northern Ukraine near the border with Belarus, also known as the Ghost City. So says Wikipedia. Being there, I didn't feel at all that it was a ghost city. You get bigger shivers being in Kłomino.
The Chernobyl Radiation Myth
I've already read and watched plenty about the Chernobyl disaster. Not to mention the rumours that circulate among people. Everywhere all you hear is: "You'll glow when you get back! There are mutants living there!". Somehow I didn't take these tales too much to heart and set off on a long journey: Łódź -> Warsaw -> Kyiv -> Slavutych -> Chernobyl and Pripyat.
